In previous Windows 10 build, it was quite a hassle to uninstall any program. We would have to find the legacy add or remove programs tool from the control panel which doesn’t normally appear even when you search for uninstall program in Windows 10 start menu.
In the new Windows 10 April Update v1803 build, fortunately, the Uninstall button has been added to the Apps & features setting. It makes uninstalling programs in Windows 10 much more easier as compared to the add or remove programs method in previous builds.
If you haven’t already updated to the latest major Windows 10 update yet, you should definitely do it now. Apart from the ease of uninstalling program in Windows 10, the update includes many other new and useful features that will certainly aid in your productivity.

Uninstall a program on Windows 10 using the legacy method
If you don’t see the app you want to uninstall from the apps and features list, or if you don’t even have the April update applied in the first place, you will have to use the old method to uninstall the program. Here’s how to do it.
- Go to start menu.
- Search for Control Panel and open it
- Under Programs, click on Uninstall a program.
- Find the app or program you want to remove from the list.
- Select it and then click Uninstall (beside the Organize button).
It is completely up to you which method you want to use to uninstall your program. Both of these methods will do just the same job when uninstalling a program. As you may already know, if you let Windows uninstall your programs, it will sometimes leave traces behind which you may not like.
